The Girl Who Could Fly

The Girl Who Could Fly
By: Victoria Forester

Every one of us has special gifts and talents. What if you discovered your gift is that you can fly ? That is what our main character Piper McCloud finds out and she practices to improve her skill. Fearing the reactions of the people in their town, Piper's parents keep her at home and do not allow her to go anywhere unattended. Alas, her flying skills are accidentally revealed and soon some "officials" arrive to recommend to Piper's parents that she be sent away to a school for those with "special" skills. Piper is sent away to the school called "I.N.S.A.N.E". There she finds that her classmates as well as her teachers have some very unusual quirks and skills. This book is fun, uplifting, has a lot of suspense and some great plot twists. It is a good read for pre-teens as well as teens and both boys and girls will enjoy it. I think that there may be a movie in the works!

  1. I work at an I.N.S.A.N.E place where there are many people with special skills. Alas, one of the most talented is "flying" away to another place. Maybe this book is what inspired her?
