Olive Kitteridge
By: Elizabeth Strout
Olive Kitteridge is a great novel that is written in an interesting way. The book is broken up into chapters, but each chapter is its own short story. The stories all revolve around the title character, Olive Kitteridge. Sometimes she's the main character in the story, sometimes she's a supporting character, or sometimes she's just mentioned in passing. But with each story, you get to know a different part of Olive and the community that she lives in. Winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 2009, Olive Kitteridge is a novel that will stay with you long after you finish reading it.
